Welcome Rosemary to Bake Club! This looks like a simple and sweet recipe. You could also use dried lavender flowers infused with milk overnight to add the lavender taste and fragrance.


1c flour
1c brown sugar (loose not packed)
1/2c milk
1 free range egg
3tbsp lavender syrup (available from Cosset, corner of Great North Rd and Woodward Ave, Mt Eden)

1.5-2tsp baking powder

40g melted butter
Combine all ingrediants - throw batter in muffin tins (baby ones are best), bake at 160c until golden.
Ice when cool with 40g melted butter, vanilla essence, 1c icing sugar, purple food coloring, and a little hot water if need.
